All current availability is conveniently found in the featured section of our FB page. We operate on a first-come, first-serve basis and regularly post updates when new chicks become available. Pick up located right outside of Amarillo.

Available breeds change regularly based on hatch schedules, breeding projects, and seasonal availability. We may not always have every breed in stock at all times, we work with trusted breeders and hatcheries across the country and can often help customers find what they’re looking for.

If you are searching for a specific breed, feel free to contact us. Even if it is not currently available, we may already have it planned for an upcoming hatch or be able to source it for you. 

We almost always have Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, and BYM (Barnyard Mix) chicks available from our free-range flocks. These birds are loved for their colorful eggs, unique feather patterns, and fun genetic variety. Depending on the hatch, they may be offered as sexed or straight run (unsexed). 

Our sexed chicks are offered as they become available and may include breeds such as Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, Orpingtons in Buff and Lavender, Wyandottes in Blue Laced Red, Black Laced Gold, Silver Laced, and Splash varieties, Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Black Australorps, Speckled Sussex, Dark Brahmas, Delawares, and Cochins.

For customers wanting colorful egg baskets and unique laying flocks, we regularly work with Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, Ameraucanas, Marans including Black Copper, Cuckoo, and Splash varieties, Cream Legbars, and Welsummers. 

We also occasionally offer rare and specialty breeds depending on availability, including Langshan, Partridge Rock, Buckeye, California Grey, Partridge Penedesenca, Turkens, Frizzles, and Sapphire Jewels. 

Our bantam chicks are always sold straight run and tend to sell out quickly. Required minimum of three chicks. Follow our Facebook page for current availability and hatch announcements, including regular appearances from Silkies (White, Paint, Splash, Blue, Black), Polish, Silver Sebrights, Mottled Houdans, and Egyptian Fayoumis.

Bantams are delicate, especially at a young age, and losses sometimes occur despite proper care. For that reason, we do not sell bantam chicks younger than 7 days old. 

If you're searching for a specific chicken breed, or the occasional turkey, contact us. Even if it is not currently available, we may already have it planned for an upcoming hatch or be able to source it for you. A NON-refundable $25 or 10% (whichever is greater is required before ordering).

Whether you’re looking for colorful egg layers, rare breeds, friendly backyard birds, or future breeding stock, Rockin K Homestead is proud to offer healthy chicks and quality poultry in Amarillo. 

While we are not able to sex day-old chicks that hatch here at the farm, we’re excited for you to meet your new additions! With these chicks, there is an equal chance of receiving a hen or a rooster, making every bird a unique surprise.

If you choose a sexed breed that is shipped in from our trusted hatchery partners, those chicks are typically sexed with approximately 90% accuracy. No refunds or returns.

We encourage you to have a plan in place for any chicks that turn out to be roosters, ensuring the best possible care for your new feathered friends. Please note that we DO NOT accept returns due to biosecurity issues. 

We are committed to providing healthy, thriving chicks and take great pride in our care and attention to detail. While we cannot control conditions after chicks leave our farm, we are always happy to offer guidance if issues arise. Please contact us immediately with any concerns. In the rare event of a widespread issue originating from our farm, we will address it promptly and make it right.

We currently offer farm pick-up only, allowing you to meet your new chicks in person and get expert advice from our team.  

Yes, we offer hatching eggs when available, with an average fertility of 95% and hatching rate of 85%. Please note that we can't guarantee your results, as many factors can influence hatching success, but we happily offer guidance and recommendations on supplies.  

We have some extra waterers and feeders available, helping you get started on your chick-rearing journey. Many of our recommendations can be found on our Amazon store. 

We prioritize the health and safety of our flock, adhering to strict biosecurity measures. Unfortunately, this means we can't accommodate farm tours at this time.
