At Rockin K Homestead, we're proud to have over 10 acres of Texas farmland, where we raise our animals. We use sustainable farming methods to ensure that our animals are healthy and free from harmful practices. Our farm is home to a variety of animals, including chickens, goats and a donkey which are raised in spacious and clean environments.
We offer a wide variety of hatching eggs and chicks. Common breeds include Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, Silkies, BYM and more. Most of our chicks are not sexed, they are straight run unless otherwise noted.

We hatch from February to September each year. Occasionally we offer healthy roosters for sale that don't meet our breeding standards. We only sell our birds to customers that intend on providing proper homes. We do not support any forms of bird flipping, fighting, or neglect.
At Rockin K Homestead, we believe in supporting our local community here in Amarillo. We work closely with other producers to promote local sustainable breeding practices so you know you are getting the most healthy baby chicks out there. We offer educational presentations to classrooms to teach future generations where their food comes from. We also donate hatching eggs if requested.
At Rockin K Homestead Farm, we believe in sustainable farming practices that prioritize the health of our soil and the well-being of our animals. One of our practices is letting our flock free range meaning they aren't kept confined to cages.
We offer a wide range of day old chicks, baby chicks, and juveniles when available at Rockin K Homestead Farm in Amarillo, TX. All chicks come from pure breeds commonly known and sourced from the best breeders around. Utilizing a free range set up, all of our baby chicks and hatching eggs have a variety of potential parentage. Often you will hear it referred to as barnyard mix or BYM. From fluffy cheeked Easter Eggers to sleek beautiful Olive Eggers, Feathered Footed Marans famous for dark chocolate eggs, to black as night Ayam Cemanis. Potential parental lines are endless. Any purebred chicks, such as our Silkies, will be noted as such.
Our flock is made up of the following hens: Silkies, Black Copper Marans, Rhode Island Reds, Red Sex Link, Golden Sex Link, Easter Egger, Turken, Speckled Sussex, Ameracana, Starlight Green Egger, Bielefelder, Buff Orpington, Olive Egger, Barred Rock, Creme Legbar, Welbar, Wyandotte, Black Australorp, and Polish.
Our Roos are a special part of our farm, not only do they keep peace among the hens, they protect them from potential predators. We don't keep or breed from any Roos with temperament issues. The breeds you will see on the farm are: Silkies, Speckled Sussex, Barred Rock, Ayam Cemani, Easter Egger, Rhode Island Red, Blue Copper Marans, Black Copper Marans, Jersey Giant, and Polish.

Our homestead is our home so in addition to privacy and time off, we also adhere to strict biosecurity protocols and need to prepare for your arrival. We answer texts during common business hours 6 days a week.
